I blogged about this chair in November. I do have grand plans to completely refurbish this chair but, with limited time and funds, I needed a quick fix to get it out of my sewing space and into my living space (I think I actually live more in my sewing space, but you know what I mean).
I used some cheap, heavy Indian cotton from my stash. I don't normally have heavy duty fabrics in my stash, but this is left over from a futon, that we borrowed and covered to prevent our kids from trashing. I managed to pull these covers together in about an hour, while Adele was asleep. As you can see they are just slip covers, with no fitted corners, and I've just made envelop closures underneath and behind.
To properly fix up this chair, I really need to rub it back, re-oil it, buy new foam and new fabric, but for now, think this will do.
I really like that chair, it looks great now, but will be awesome when its redone completely.
