For once I'm not talking about me, but rather about my mum.
I've have a number of quilts on my 'to do' list for 2011, but since I've been so tied up with uni and now obsessed with making dresses, mum offered to make a quilt for Adele.
This quilt is just wonderful. My mum is so good at quilting. Unlike the quilts I make, all her corners match.
I supplied the fabric, which had been set aside for a quilt for well over 2 years. It's Heather Bailey Pop Garden and Bijoux fabric. An older collection, but the colours are amazing. Well they are in real life, these photos are terribly dark, courtesy of Sydney's gloomy weather.
The quilt is based on this one made by Ashley from Film in the Fridge, and the good thing is mum has made it large enough that Adele will be able to use it for many, many years.
Thanks Mum!! Adele and I both love it!
It's absolutely beautiful. What a wonderful mum!
