Handmade Christmas Challenge

I wasn't planning on making these kiddie kaftans just so soon, but really wanted to try out the Sis Boom Sophie Tunic pattern.
Only the two larger ones are Christmas gifts for my two nieces who are 7 and 9. The small pink one is for Adele and the green/yellow one for another little friend.

The pattern was really concise with lots and lots of different sizing options, but unfortunately was drafted with only 1/4 inch seam allowances. I'm really not happy about this and read it only after I had cut the pieces, meaning I couldn't add more on. There is a standard 1/2 inch seam allowance generally included in garment sewing, 1/4 inch is best for quilting. Small seam allowances make moving the overlocker a little tricky leaving less margin for error.

Anywho, they are just devine and I'm quite happy with them.

And I love the little tuck at the top of the sleeves!!
