Either I have really broad shoulders or....

Or I have a super small bust! Considering I've had three kids, I'm guessing the later is probably true. You see I made this top on the weekend.

Now you probably can't see from this particular photo, but it's super super snug around the shoulders.

I used the Make it Perfect Shearwater Kaftan pattern and my, how I wanted it to be perfect, but it's not! I cut an x-small as that was what my bust size determined, but clearly I'm a little out of proportion, because I can't move my arms without shifting the shirt.

The neck is also really quite gapey. I think I probably needed to stretch the bias binding as I attached it to get it to fit better - Do you think that will work?? I'm not sure, I might have to look  it up. I also don't think I stretched the neck before attaching the binding, but I might have.... I guess before I try my next one, on expensive fabric I'll cut another in cheap stuff and make it in a size small, stay stitch the neck before making and try to stretch the bias band on the neck...

You know there's never a moment without kids in this house.

Even when two are having naps, there's always one to follow you around and get into everything.

Must teach this little one to wash his face properly.
