Pattern Runway Bow Blouse

Finished projects are piling up around these parts at the moment, and better yet, holidays are just one school week away!!

Following the success of my Archer shirts, I decided to make up a different shirt pattern. Again in black, because I was quite surprised at how much wear my first Archer is getting - well it was before Sydney's recent cold snap.

I like that the Pattern Runway Bow Blouse is a little more feminine, with no back yoke, gathered bracelet length sleeves and a bow.
I really am not disappointed with the finished blouse - in fact, I think it's safe to say I LOVE it!
The shirt fits well with no alterations and I like that the tie replaces the need to wear a necklace. The style is still quite boxy and I'm happy with that.
I used a very light and super soft Free Spirit voile for the shirt, but despite my love for this fabric, it's a little too light for winter wear, even with an undershirt. At least I'll be ready for Spring! How much longer till Spring??

Cost:
Pattern: Pattern Runway Bow Blouse $9.50
Fabric: 1.5m black Free Spirit voile $21 inc part shipping
Buttons: One card of black hexagon shank buttons from Spotlight $2.99

  1. Very smart looking blouse, pity the fabric is a bit light on for Winter but you are all set for Spring. See you tomorrow :)
