    Create your own factory folds - just iron them. I'm so messy that I always have to fold and iron them to get them back into the envelope.

    I have the same problem! They just don't seem to make any sense. And of course, then they never fit neatly back into the packet.

    I'm the opposite. It delights me to find all the original folds and origami them back in...even if it would be much easier to fold a small rectangular piece in half, I still follow the original folds. Everyone needs a vice...pattern folding is one of mine...so satisfying when you get it all back in.
