Queensland Flood Appeal

I've been thinking these past few days about how I can contribute to the Queensland Flood Appeal Auctions and what I can offer as an auction or raffle for readers. I don't have a huge product range, it's pretty much just bonnets, and I also don't have a huge number of readers. So, I think the easiest way my me to contribute, and hopefully raise some extra funds for the Appeal, is to offer a few products in my shop with 100% of proceeds going directly to Premier's Flood Relief Appeal.

So here it is - 100% of the proceeds (including postage) from the sale of these two items, will be donated to the Premier's Flood Relief Appeal. You can order either of these bonnets in any size. If I don't have it in stock, I will make it for you.

Naturally, as a family we are also planning to contribute with donations to the Salvos for living essentials, but this way I know that I've helped raise just a little bit more money for those suffering as a result of this terrible natural disaster.

If you are looking for other great offers from bloggers raising money, head over to Toni's blog. I think she'll be posting a list in the coming few days.

  1. Oh this little suit is lovely. I no longer have little ones and nor do I have girls, but I just know there are going to be lots of cute little bubs enjoying the heat of summer in these little suits. Re the QLD floods, its wonderful to see so many Aussies coming together to raise money for families who have lost absolutely everything. I too am feeling rather helpless about the whole situation and although we have donated money, I want to do more. I am donating money from my madeit store through all of January, (possibly to be extended thro Feb) and I am sewing up little bags to give to the crafting community through another lovely blog as well. I do have plans to try and organise a group of friends and locals to sponsor a preschool, but this will be down the track, as for now, cash is king. You bonnets will be a hit and the money raised will help our friends.
