Handmade Christmas Challenge

It's been a while since I made progress with my long Christmas gift list for this year. I've done a lot of thinking but not a lot of doing.

I have however, just finished my first bucket hat. I'm planning on making a bunch of these for Christmas gifts this year. In fact I have about 16 to make not including a few extras for my own kids!!!

As you can see it is quite hard getting this little one to keep the hat on her head. I think I might add one of those adjustable straps underneath.

This first hat is supposed to be for Adele but it's way too big for her little pin head. As mentioned in an earlier Christmas Challenge post, I used the Make it Perfect Lazy Day hat pattern. I also slightly changed my method of contruction as per suggestions on the Sadie and Lance blog.

I made one side of the hat with Michael Miller Ta Dot fabric and the other from the remanant of Jennifer Paganelli fabric from this little blouse. Clearly I didn't think too much about wardrobe coordination for these photos.

It's hard to tell where the blouse ends and the hat begins!!
