High Tea Darling!

Every sewing catch up is such great fun and especially comforting to realize you're not the only crazy who loses sleep trying to decide what pattern to sew or which fabric attack next.

I'm not the best photographer on the planet and definitely not the personality type to edge in to take photos at these types of events. Knowing this, I took a bunch of photos just as we sat at our table. My apologies for their quality and very sorry Maria and Gabrielle - I didn't realize you'd blinked! And sorry Anne, you arrived after the photos.

Our group yesterday included:

and the blogless, but equally lovely ladies:

Renata
Frances
Joanne
Lucie
Rebecca
Wendy
Kathy
Anna

Thanks again everyone for a great day. I hope you all had fun and thanks Kristy for organizing it all!

I believe next time we'll contrast this posh catch-up with one at the pub for wedges and beer. :)

  2. This was such a great event for such a wet and cold Sydney day. Everyone was all abuzz and having a high tea event was a great idea. The pub meet up will also be a blast.

  3. Such an elegant affair...but so relaxed...I love the way we all just launch into conversation...always something to discuss re patterns/fabric/techniques/blogs etc etc!

  6. There was no stopping the conversations once everyone got started! A pub location for the next one sounds good to me, although best not make it a school night.....

  7. It WAS so much fun! Great to see you again, and also to meet more Sydney sewists! I'm really pleased to see your photos too, as my whole card got corrupted when I was trying to upload photos. Look forward to the next meetup, wherever that may be.

  10. I think that when you have a hobby, you can lose sleep over planning and trying to change your work. Thank you for including all of the links. I am sure that there are a number of great and interesting ideas in all of them. There are some interesting pieces, like the drama jacket.
