I don't make quilts often, but I love having them around my home. When I read that Denyse Schmidt's Flea Markey Fancy fabric line was to be re-released, I jumped on the pre-order band wagon.
I now have a lovely fat quarter stack of fabric plus a little extra yardage. I'm thinking I'm going to try to tackle the Single Girl quilt, also by Denyse Schmidt.
Hopefully this project will happen, but not before a finish quilts for the boys. I still need to quilt one and bind both. It's getting chilly in Sydney so I really should get cracking on them.
Don't you just love making plans? Almost anythin seems possible in your mind, but then reality sets in when you really think about how long each plan will take. Still, dreaming and planning is so much fun!
Dreaming and planning really is the best part. I have never quilted and don't really want to (too many projects), but I agree it would be so nice to have some around the house.
ReplyDeleteI have had that pattern for ages. I want to make it, I really love it, but I started cutting out the pieces and that is as far as I got.
