I've just finished re-covering my couch! Hooray!! It's been half finished since before Adele was born, so I knuckled down and got cracking on the final pelmet cover.
The lounge was a pebble coloured microsuade which the kids were trashing beyond belief. Last winter I paid to have it cleaned and it cost way over $300 and was trashed again within a week.
So, time for action - the cost for the fabric, which is an awesome Warwick upholstery fabric, was $400, cotton $10, velcro $25 and voila - new couch which successfully hides small spills, slobber and mashed banana. The covers are also fully removable so they can be washed up in the machine too.
I also added a few new cushion covers to the look, whipped up using an envelop style closure, which means no buttons or zips - yay!!
Now no more distractions - must get onto those orders.....
Looks great!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the couch cover! Looks fantastic and will work so well.
ReplyDeleteIs the Warwick fabric another microsuede? It looks great, I didn't notice it was half finished last time I was at your place. You're way too motivated for my liking...
