Flouncy??

So a friend of mine snapped up this white and navy stripe pinwale cord recently and commented that it was too flouncy for boys pants... Well, I beg to differ. I made these for the boys last night and I think they are just adorable..

I'm getting pretty quick at this style of pant, I contrasted the pocket and waist band with the stripe showing horizontal.

I think they are pretty cool pants and perfect for playing in.

I love dressing the boys the same. Did your mum do it to you and your siblings? I have very vivid memories of mum buying a whole bunch of cheap pink cotton fabric with a very 80's colour swirl on it to make clothes for me and my two sisters. Older sis always got a skirt and top, I got shorts and top and my younger sister got either a dress or three quarter pants and a top. My brother always got to wear different clothes... Naturally this was teamed with a side pony and spike fringe....ewww.... No matter what the fashion industry says, the 80's were, and still are UNCOOL!

What do you think, are the pants too flouncy??
