With my first markets fast approaching, I should be sewing or listing items in my empty shop, but instead I'm crocheting for my little girl. I finished this adorable bolero last night - how cute is my model???

After the success of my first
little cardi, I purchased some lovely yarn from the
Bendigo Woolen Mills. This bolero is made from luxury 4 ply baby wool in purple storm. I used a pattern from
this Cleckheaton book, making the bolero design with a simple picot edge, which I slightly modified to produce a frillier edge.

I also have a ball of 4 ply cotton in Cerise which I plan to make a traditional matinee jacket with, probably using a pattern from
this book that I purchased on our recent holiday. I think the traditional design in a modern colour and yarn will be lovely for little miss to wear in winter. It's also an easy way to extend the wear of
many of the dresses we have, just add tights and a
cardi for cooler weather.
Gorgeous Bolero! That's such a gorgeous picture of Adele.
